ISR Self-Rescue ® Full Session (New Students) Save $50
With a focus on safe, customized, one-on-one lessons by certified Instructors, ISRs survival swimming lessons emphasize health, ongoing program evaluations and parent education to deliver the most effective and safest results in the industry.

ISR lesson sessions are always 1-on-1, up to 10 minutes daily, Monday - Friday for about 6 weeks.  This schedule honors the sensorimotor development of young children and lessons are guided using small approximations that ensure success.

Lessons for infants (at least 6 months old) focus on teaching the child to roll onto their back to float, rest and breathe, and to be able to maintain this life-saving position until help arrives.

Lessons for children who are walking well (about 12+ months) focus on teaching the swim - float - swim survival sequence. Children learn to swim with their head down; roll onto their back to float, rest, and breathe; and roll back over to resume swimming until they reach the side of the pool, where they can either crawl out or until they can be rescued. It is an effective method, even for older kids who have other swim skills. This goes beyond, teaching them also to survive!

There is a separate $35 national ISR registration fee per calender year for refreshers that goes directly to ISR when registering. (I will offer refreshers throughout the year & ISR recommends refreshers every 6 months.  You will need to update your registration but will not have to pay for registration more than once per calendar year.) I will send out an emailed link to register through ISR once you have reserved your time slot. The ISR registration fee covers a medical screening by ISR Registration Evaluation Team (RET) to assess the physical and developmental readiness of your child. Determination of appropriateness for lessons is not based on a particular condition or diagnosis, rather on the unique characteristics of the child. The registration fee also covers the course materials, which include a Parent Resource Book that you will receive online after completing the registration.
