ISR Self-Rescue™ New Student
These are the standard ISR lessons discussed on the ISR website. Schedule this lesson type if this is your child's FIRST session of ISR lessons. Infants who are at least 6 months old and able to sit independantly will learn to Roll back and float and maintain that float until helps arrives. Children who are walking and developmentally ready, will learn the Swim-Float-Swim sequence. This session takes approximately six weeks to complete. (Lessons are scheduled for 7 weeks to allow additional time for any missed lessons).

ISR Floater- Return to Swim
If your child completed ISR Self-Rescue lessons as an infant and learned to Roll Back and Float ONLY, choose this lesson type to schedule your child to learn the entire Swim-Float-Swim sequence. This session takes approximately 6 weeks as your child is learning new skills that will be sequenced with previously learned skills. (Lessons are scheduled for 7 weeks to allow additional time for any missed lessons).

ISR Refresher
These lessons are for children who have already completed survival lessons and learned the entire Swim-Float-Swim sequence. As the name implies, these lessons enable the children to "refresh" the skills that they have already learned. Students attend lessons Monday-Friday for a maximum of ten minutes each day. Since these skills are not new to the children, refresher lessons take approximately two-three weeks depending on much your child has grown and any skill interference, "bad habits", since their last lesson.
